GAA English Teacher Amy Marcarian wins Excellence in Teaching Award
GAA English Teacher, Amy Marcarian, was recently recognized as a recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Alumni Awards Foundation during the Glendale Academy Alumni Homecoming Church Service on May 2, 2009. The Award came with a $1,000 cash prize. Congratuations Amy!

Music Department Tour to Arizona
The music department tour to Arizona was a great success. Students had a chance to visit the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Holbrook Indian Mission school, and Scottsdale. Check out the photos.

Glendale Academy Golf Ball Makes History!
After 50 years of playing the game of golf, Larry Ballew, an Adventist school principal, made his first hole in one at Apple Mountain Golf Club on a 141 yard par three. Being the first hole he played that day, Larry did not pay attention to the ball he pulled out of his bag. During the celebration in the club house after the round, the lady asked Larry to hold up the ball for a picture, at which time she looked closely and remarked, "Glendale Academy, huh? Must be a lucky ball."
